NOVELTY - Graphene preparation involves mixing concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid in reactor to obtain mixed acid solution, and then adding graphite to the mixed acid solution to obtain a mixture. The obtained mixture is stirred, and then potassium chlorate is added to the stirred mixture. The mixture is processed in nitrogen atmosphere. The mixture is washed with deionized water, and then further washed with potassium hydroxide and acidic aqueous solution. The washed material is dried in presence of vacuum at 160-220 degrees C for 4-24 hours. USE - Method for preparing graphene (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphene preparation involves mixing concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid in reactor to obtain mixed acid solution, and then adding graphite to the mixed acid solution to obtain a mixture. Solid graphite oxide is added to the dried product, and then stirred at 100 degrees C for 5-48 hours. The stirred material is dried in presence of vacuum to obtain the desired product.
