NOVELTY - Preparing low-temperature hydrophobic heat exchange material based on stainless steel and graphene comprises (i) plating copper or nickel on the surface of stainless steel and performing chemical plating or electroplating; and (ii) adding the stainless steel with nickel or copper plating into the chemical vapor deposition reaction chamber, reducing the pressure in the reaction chamber to less than 5 Pa, introducing hydrogen, and increasing the temperature at the same time, heating to 500-900 degrees C for 1-60 minutes, passing the carbon-containing gas and turning on the protective gas of the plasma equipment, insulating for another 1-60 minutes to crack the carbon-containing gas and deposit graphene on the surface of the stainless steel, and cooling to complete the chemical vapor deposition of graphene on stainless steel. USE - The method is useful for preparing low-temperature hydrophobic heat exchange material based on stainless steel and graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method greatly reduces the impact of graphene deposition temperature on the mechanical properties of stainless steel and is simple.
