NOVELTY - The splitter has a Y-branch provided with an insulation layer (20), an input light waveguide (1) and two branch waveguides (2, 3). A first graphene (51) is arranged with the first branch waveguide. A second graphene (52) is horizontally embedded into the second branch waveguide in a first waveguide section (31). The first graphene and a second waveguide section (32) are formed with two insulating medium layers (41, 42). A third section waveguide (33), the second graphene and a fourth section waveguide (34) are formed with third and fourth insulating medium layers (43, 44). USE - Graphene based plane light waveguide polarization beam splitter. ADVANTAGE - The waveguides are made of vertical graphite alkene for absorbing a TE-mode and a TM mode so as to filter the TE-mode and a TM mode. The splitter has small volume, high extinction ratio, high working wave length range, small crosstalk and wide application range.
