NOVELTY - Making calcium oxide from oolitic aragonite involves applying solar energy to heat reactant mixture in vessel. The reactant mixture comprises oolitic aragonite and reactant mixture is heated to a temperature from 500-950?oC. The solar energy is applied by focusing one or more mirrors in one or more heliostats. USE - Method for making calcium oxide from oolitic aragonite. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to make calcium oxide from oolitic aragonite that converts crbon dioxide to valuable products. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: a method for forming one or more layers of graphene from carbon dioxide, which involves applying solar energy to heat reactant mixture in vessel, reactant mixture comprises oolitic aragonite, heating reactant mixture to a temperature from 500-950?oC to form CaO and CO_2, applying solar energy, focusing one or more mirrors in one or more heliostats, capturing the CO_2, and delivering the CO_2 and reducing agent to a metallic alloy substrate in heating zone of reactor to form one or more layers of graphene on a surface of the metallic alloy substrate, metallic alloy substrate comprises copper and palladium alloy (CuPd alloy); and#a method for converting CO_2 to ethanol, which involves applying solar energy to heat reactant mixture in vessel, reactant mixture comprises oolitic aragonite and heating reactant mixture to a temperature from 500-950?oC to form CaO and CO_2, applying solar energy by focusing one or more mirrors in one or more heliostats, capturing the CO_2, contacting the CO_2 with electrocatalyst, electrocatalyst comprises carbon nanospikes and copper nanoparticles are providing on the carbon nanospikes and applying a voltage to the electrocatalyst to produce ethanol.
