NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene foam includes ultrasonically dispersing graphite oxide in solvent, adding diamine or dimercapto compound-containing ethanol solution, refluxing, filtering, cooling, washing, and drying to obtain surface treated graphene; dissolving dispersing agent in dispersion medium, adding into reactor, water bath heating, adding monomer and polymerization initiator, and insulating to obtain polymeric microsphere suspension; adding surface treated graphene by mechanical stirring or ultrasonic dispersing, cooling, centrifuging, and drying; and calcining. USE - Method for preparation of graphene foam (claimed) used for cigarette tar harm reduction. ADVANTAGE - The graphene foam has low density, high porosity which is easy to control, special hollow foam structure and large specific surface area making it into adsorption catalytic domain, and low cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene foam comprises: (A) ultrasonically dispersing graphite oxide in solvent to obtain homogeneous suspension, adding 2-20 times diamine or dimercapto compound-containing ethanol solution, refluxing to 60-120 degrees C for 2-24 hours under nitrogen protective atmosphere, filtering, cooling, washing, and drying to obtain amino or thiol-surface treated graphene; (B) dissolving dispersing agent in dispersion medium, adding into reactor, water bath heating to 65-85 degrees C under nitrogen atmosphere, adding monomer and polymerization initiator, insulating while stirring for 6-14 hours to obtain carboxyl or epoxy-containing polymeric microsphere suspension; (C) adding amino or thiol-surface treated graphene by mechanical stirring or ultrasonic dispersing, cooling to 40-70 degrees C for 1-4 hours, centrifuging, and drying to obtain graphene oxide-polymer microsphere composite powder; and (D) calcining to 500-800 degrees C for 5 minutes to 1 hour through tube furnace under inert atmosphere. The mass ratio of monomer and dispersion medium is 20-35:80-65. The monomer comprises first monomer and second monomer.
