NOVELTY - A lithium titanate composite material comprises graphene and nano-lithium titanate particle, where an outer surface of the nano-lithium titanate particle is provided with a carbon coating and the graphene is distributed on the carbon coating outside the nano-lithium titanate particle. USE - Lithium titanate composite material for use in a battery or capacitor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material can be prepared with better charging and discharging multiplying power in a simple and cost-effective manner, and is suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A lithium titanate composite material comprises graphene and nano-lithium titanate particle (Li4Ti5-xMxO12), where the nano-lithium titanate particle outer surface is provided with a carbon coating, the graphene is distributed on the carbon coating outside of the nano-lithium titanate particle, x is 0.001-5, and M is a transition metal element. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing a lithium titanate composite material.
