NOVELTY - Method for coating hydroxy graphene modified electrophoretic paint without nickel stainless steel comprises (i) performing cathodic electrolytic activation after drawing the nickel-free stainless steel on the surface of the drawing nickel-free stainless steel to obtain a pretreated nickel-free stainless steel, electroplating a trivalent chromium coating on the surface of the pretreated nickel-free stainless steel to obtain a nickel-free stainless steel with a trivalent chromium coating, using cathodic electrophoretic coating to coat the surface of the nickel-free stainless steel with a trivalent chromium coating hydroxy graphene modified electrophoretic paint coating, where conditions for the electrolytic activation of the cathode comprises the anode is a graphite rod, the cathode is nickel-free stainless steel after wire drawing, the electrolyte includes 100-200 g/l sulfuric acid, 10-30 g/l acrylic acid and 0.1-0.5 g/l trimercapto-s-triazine. USE - The method is useful for coating hydroxy graphene modified electrophoretic paint without nickel stainless steel. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the bonding force between the coating and the nickel-free stainless steel substrate; overcome the technical defect of low corrosion resistance of nickel-free stainless steel. The paint has good lubricity, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for protective coating of nickel-free stainless steel prepared by the method as mentioned above, comprising trivalent chromium coating and a hydroxygraphene modified electrophoretic paint coating sequentially arranged on the surface of nickel-free stainless steel.
