NOVELTY - Collecting gas, involves heating a laminated support having a polygonal lattice-like atomic structure to expand an interlayer space to collect gas in the inter layer space. The laminated supports are overlapped and stacked with each other. A curved or bent planar structure is formed in a portion of an area. An end of one side of a single-layer support is folded and stacked in the structure. The stacked support is mounted on a flat substrate or a flexible substrate, where the stacked support comprises a graphite analog. The gas includes highly polarizable gas e.g. carbon dioxide and nitrogen. The graphite analogue comprises laminate including graphene-based laminate, hexagonal boron nitride and/or transition metal dichalcogenide. USE - The method is useful for collecting gas in expanded space between layers of laminated support by heating polygonal lattice atomic structure. ADVANTAGE - The method enables simply bringing the laminated support having a polygonal lattice atomic structure into contact with the gas and heating the interlayer of the lamination support so as to collect the gas in the expanded space, so that superior collection efficiency can be improved. The method enables reversibly capturing and releasing the gas by adjusting partial pressure and/or temperature conditions of the gas.
