NOVELTY - Preparing phenylphosphonate graft graphene-POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) flame retardant polyethylene terephthalate material comprises (i) orderly adding diphenyl phosphite and diethanolamine to three-mouth flask, slowly heating, adding paraformaldehyde, continuously heating, stirring, and stopping reaction, (ii) taking graphene oxide solution, placing in three-mouth bottle, adding potassium hydroxide, ultrasonically processing, adding alcohol hydroxy terminated diphenyl aminomethylphosphonate to above solution, and carrying out reflux reaction, (iii) adding 3-chloropropyl POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane), N,N-dimethylformamide, and hydroxy-terminated phenyl phosphonate grafted graphene to single-mouth flask, and carrying out reaction, and (iv) treating polyethylene terephthalate and phenyl phosphonate grafted graphene-POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) flame retardant by vacuum drying, uniformly stirring and mixing, extruding, and granulating. USE - The method is useful for preparing phenylphosphonate graft graphene-POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) flame retardant polyethylene terephthalate material. ADVANTAGE - The method: significantly improves the flame retardancy of polyethylene terephthalate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing phenylphosphonate graft graphene-POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) flame retardant polyethylene terephthalate material comprises (i) orderly adding 10-50 pts. wt. diphenyl phosphite and 5-10 pts. wt. diethanolamine to three-mouth flask equipped with magnetic stirring, thermometer, reflux condenser pipe, slowly heating to 40-80degreesC under stirring, adding 5-20 pts. wt. paraformaldehyde, continuously heating, stirring to dissolve all paraformaldehyde, and stopping reaction to obtain alcohol hydroxy-terminated diphenyl aminomethylphosphonate, (ii) firstly taking 10 pts. wt. graphene oxide solution, placing in three-mouth bottle, adding potassium hydroxide, ultrasonically processing for 30-60 minutes, adding 60-200 pts. wt. alcohol hydroxy terminated diphenyl aminomethylphosphonate to above solution, and carrying out reflux reaction in a water bath conditions to obtain hydroxy-terminated phenyl phosphonate grafted graphene, (iii) adding 6-12 pts. wt. 3-chloropropyl POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane), N,N-dimethylformamide, and 0.3-1 pts. wt. hydroxy-terminated phenyl phosphonate grafted graphene to single-mouth flask, and carrying out reaction to obtain phenyl phosphonate grafted graphene-POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) flame retardant, and (iv) treating 100 pts. wt. polyethylene terephthalate and 1-11 pts. wt. phenyl phosphonate grafted graphene-POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) flame retardant by vacuum drying at 80degreesC for 12 hours, uniformly stirring and mixing, extruding, and granulating on micro-conical double-screw extruder.
