NOVELTY - Method of improving performance of shield cutter carbides involves carrying out ultrasonic oscillation and ball-milling of shield cutter hard alloy, or carrying out chemical method. The chemical method involves uniformly dispersing graphene in cobalt powder during preparation of cobalt powder. Graphene is added to solution of cobalt, dispersed, and sodium hydroxide is added to form complex of cobalt. Then, hydrazine is added, reduced and graphene as inclusion of cobalt heterogeneous nucleation, is co-precipitated with cobalt, and milled to obtain cobalt powder and tungsten carbide. Graphene is added to solution of cobalt, dispersed, and sodium hydroxide is added to form complex of cobalt. Then, hydrazine is added and reduction reaction is carried out. Graphene as inclusion of cobalt heterogeneous nucleation, co-precipitates with cobalt to disperse graphene in cobalt, and milled to obtain cobalt powder and tungsten carbide.
