NOVELTY - A metal simple substance is reacted with carbon dioxide gas and combusted in air or pure oxygen environment. The combustion process produces heat, metal and carbon dioxide react to produce element carbon and metal oxide. Carbon is deposited on the metal oxide. The product is then acid-washed, the metal oxide is dissolved in a solution, and the solution is centrifuged and dialyzed to obtain a graphene quantum dot solution. USE - Preparation of graphene quantum dot solution for use in fluorescence labeling and biological cell imaging. ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple, economical and easy preparation of uniform graphene quantum dot solution having strong fluorescence property.
