NOVELTY - A sensing element has a single layer graphene sheet and a layer of molecularly imprinted polymer configured to detect and recognize the target molecules arranged on the single layer graphene sheet. USE - Sensing element is used in backscattering tag (claimed) for detecting and recognizing target molecules for civilian and military personal. ADVANTAGE - The sensing element provides excellent sensitivity with high selectivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) backscattering tag; and (2) fabrication of the sensing.
