▎ 摘　　要

NOVELTY - Self-repairing optical cable comprises a cable core and a sheath. The sheath material is prepared taking ethylene/propylene blend, low density polyethylene, polypropylene, antioxidant, light stabilizer, flame retardant and self-repairing micro-capsule. USE - Used as self-repairing optical cable. ADVANTAGE - The optical cable: has good mechanical properties e.g. bending and tensile properties and heat resistance, high toughness and self-healing performance; repairs the damage and cracks generated in the actual application of the material; and reduces the brittleness of the material and damage by external force. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing self-repairing optical cable, comprising (i) adding ethylene/propylene blends, low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, antioxidants, light stabilizers, flame retardants, and self-healing microcapsules into the twin-screw extruder for mixing and extruding; (ii) conveying the material into a single screw extruder for extrusion granulation to obtain a self-repairing optical cable; and (iii) wrapping the self-healing optical cable sheath material outside the cable core.
