NOVELTY - Graphene reinforced and toughened biodegradable polyester compound, is prepared by (a) dispersing graphene oxide (GO) in water through a high-energy ultrasonic probe, freeze-drying the GO aqueous solution to obtain fluffy GO powder, and dispersing fluffy GO powder in dimethylformamide (DMF) using high-energy ultrasound to prepare GO/DMF dispersion, (b) dissolving multifunctional epoxy chain extender in DMF by vigorous stirring, adding the obtained dispersion to the GO/DMF dispersion, continuously stirring, adding triphenylphosphine catalyst to the dispersion to induce chemical reaction, through multiple filtration, performing acetone washing and drying, so as to obtain GO-epoxy powder, and (c) melting and blending dried polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT), polylactic acid (PLA) and GO-epoxy powder and molding by a circulating twin-screw internal mixer to obtain target composite sheet. USE - The biodegradable polyester compound is useful as a composite sheet for a composite foam material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The biodegradable polyester compound improves the compatibility of the PBAT/PLA composite, and has a tensile strength of 25-55 MPa and an elongation at break of 100-600%, low density, high hardness, high strength, and high toughness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a graphene reinforced and toughened biodegradable polyester composite foam material, prepared by saturating the above-mentioned composite sheet with high-pressure fluid, and performing rapid pressure relief foaming to obtain the product.
