NOVELTY - Cathode composite material comprises silicon-M-carbon composite materials, and conductive layer on surface of silicon-M-carbon composite material, where M includes boron, nitrogen, and/or oxygen. The chemical shifts of silicon in the silicon-M-carbon composite material tested by solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance include -5ppm plus minus 5ppm, -35ppm plus minus 5ppm, -75ppm plus minus 5ppm, -110ppm plus minus 5ppm, and the half-value width K at -5ppm plus minus 5ppm satisfies: 7ppm less than K less than 28ppm. USE - Used as cathode composite material. ADVANTAGE - The cathode composite material has lower expansion rate and higher conductivity. The cathode pole piece and electrochemical device has excellent cycle performance.
