NOVELTY - Flame-retardant phase-change material comprises 1-90 pts. wt. polyol, 1-90 pts. wt. resin, 1-10 pts. wt. solid porous material, 0.1-7 pts. wt. flame retardant, 0.1-5 pts. wt. thermal conductor and 0.01-2 pts. wt. coupling agent and/or curing agent. USE - Flame-retardant phase-change material for a lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The flame-retardant phase-change material has a wide range of phase transition temperatures, large latent heat of phase transition, phase transition temperature and latent heat of phase transition are adjustable, and does not require complicated use devices and packaging containers with good sealing properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: 1. preparation method of the flame-retardant phase-change material, which involves: i. heating and mixing a diluent, resin, a solid porous material, polyol, a flame retardant and a heat conducting agent, adding a coupling agent or a curing agent, and continuously stirring and mixing to obtain a mixture; and solidifying, pressing and forming the obtained mixture to obtain the flame-retardant phase-change material; and 2. a lithium ion battery, which comprises a battery core body and a battery pack shell; where the flame-retardant phase-change material is arranged between the battery core body and the battery pack shell.
