NOVELTY - A roofing underlayment includes a roofing substrate, where the roofing substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, an asphalt shingle waste (ASW) adhesive composition on the first surface of the roofing substrate, where the ASW adhesive composition comprises 10-60 wt.% ASW asphalt, 20-70 wt.% of at least one process oil and 0.5-30 wt.% of at least one polymer, and the ASW adhesive composition is free of virgin asphalt, where the roofing underlayment, when installed, is positioned between a roof deck and shingles. USE - Roofing underlayment used for roofing system and roofing material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The granules of roofing underlayment are reused in roofing products, in manufacture of one or more roofing shingles or roofing shingle components, and reused for headlap of roofing shingle and/or backing of roofing shingle. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) a roofing system, which includes a roof deck, and the roofing underlayment on the roof deck; and (2) a roofing material, which includes a roll of the roofing underlayment, where the roofing underlayment, when unrolled and installed, is positioned between roof deck and shingles.
