NOVELTY - Graphene modified iron-based catalyst comprises 0.01-30% graphene, 0-20% auxiliary agent and 60-99.99% iron oxide. USE - The graphene modified iron-based catalyst useful in Fischer-Tropsch reaction of olefin (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst: exhibits high activity in Fischer-Tropsch reaction, maintains high space velocity for long time with high carbon monoxide conversion rate (more than 90%); reduces paraffin content in the product process; enables alkene ratio to reach 14; and has extremely high industrial application properties. The method is simple. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparation of the catalyst, comprising (a) dispersing graphene in an aqueous solution to form a suspension at 10-80 degrees C, ultrasonically dispersing for 0.5-5 hours and stirring for 1-24 hours (b) adding iron oxide powder to form solution, continuously stirring for 0.5-24 hours (c) adding auxiliary agent precursor to the suspension and continuously stirring for 1-24 hours; (d) drying the mixed liquid by rotary evaporation to dryness, drying the obtained solid at 80-120 degrees C for 1-24 hours, calcining under nitrogen, helium or argon gas at 250-800 degrees C for 1-24 hours.
