NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-modified vinyl acetate-maleic anhydride copolymer leather retanning agent, involves adding graphene oxide and organic solvent to nitrogen gas protection device, ultrasonically dispersing, adding acid binding agent and chlorinating agent, dripping organic solvent, vacuum filtering, washing, vacuum drying, adding organic solvent, ultrasonically dispersing, dripping diamine and acid binding agent, vacuum filtering, washing, vacuum drying, adding organic solvent, ultrasonically dispersing, dissolving maleic anhydride in organic solvent, cooling, vacuum filtering, washing, vacuum drying to obtain maleic-anhydride-grafted graphene oxide, adding deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, adding vinyl acetate, maleic anhydride, initiator and sodium hydroxide, pre-heating, dissolving initiator, water and acrylamide in water, dissolving sodium hydroxide in water and reacting to obtain final product. USE - Method for preparing graphene-modified vinyl acetate-maleic anhydride copolymer leather retanning agent. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene-modified vinyl acetate-maleic anhydride copolymer flame-retardant leather retanning agent with excellent dispersion uniformity and stability, heat resistance, tear resistance and antibacterial properties, and effectively improves the conductivity of leather and improves the finished grade and international competitiveness of leather products. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing graphene-modified vinyl acetate-maleic anhydride copolymer leather retanning agent, involves (1) adding 1 pt. wt. graphene oxide and 150 pts. wt. organic solvent to nitrogen gas protection device, mechanically stirring, transferring to 500 mL round bottom flask, ultrasonically dispersing for 1.0 hour, adding 4.7-6.0 pts. wt. acid binding agent and 3.5 pts. wt. chlorinating agent, dripping 10 pts. wt. organic solvent, reacting at 60 degrees C for 4-6 hours, vacuum filtering, washing with absolute ethanol, vacuum drying, adding 150 pts. wt. organic solvent, ultrasonically dispersing, then dripping 3.0-8.5 pts. wt. diamine and 4.7-6.0 pts. wt. acid binding agent, reacting at room temperature for 2-4 hours, vacuum filtering, washing with absolute ethanol, vacuum drying, adding 150 pts. wt. organic solvent, mixing, ultrasonically dispersing, dissolving 5.0 pts. wt. maleic anhydride in 15 pts. wt. organic solvent, reacting at 60-70 degrees C for 8 hours, cooling, vacuum filtering, washing with absolute ethanol, vacuum drying to obtain maleic-anhydride-grafted graphene oxide, (2) adding 1-10 pts. wt. maleic-anhydride-grafted graphene oxide to 100 pts. wt. deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing for 0.5-1.0 hour, adding 50-60 pts. wt. vinyl acetate, 40-50 pts. wt. maleic anhydride, 8-10 pts. wt. initiator and 4 pts. wt. sodium hydroxide, mechanically stirring, transferring to four-necked flask equipped with thermometer and condensing reflux device, pre-heating at 55-57 degrees C for 3-4 hours, dissolving 2-4 pts. wt. initiator, 5 pts. wt. water and 4 pts. wt. acrylamide in 20 pts. wt. water, reacting at 55-57 degrees C for 4-5 hours, dissolving 20 pts. wt. sodium hydroxide in 60 pts. wt. water and reacting at 40-45 degrees C for 1 hour to obtain final product.
