NOVELTY - Preparation of hydrogen storage composite material comprises preparing graphene oxide (GO); mixing GO, nickel-containing hydrate (C4H5O6Ni.4H2O), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and hexamethyltetramine with water through hydrothermal reactor, and heating to obtain nickel hydroxide-GO; calcining under air atmosphere to obtain nickel oxide-GO, and calcining under hydrogen-nitrogen mixed gas protective atmosphere to obtain nickel-rGO; and di-t-butyl magnesium and cyclohexane, and hydrothermally reacting in solvent under hydrogen protective atmosphere. USE - Method for preparation of hydrogen storage composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The hydrogen storage composite material has high hydrogen storage capacity of up to 7.6% and high hydrogen evolution temperature of greater than 380 degrees C, and can release 4.6% high purity hydrogen within 30 minutes.
