NOVELTY - The self-supporting electrode substrate material in which the pretreated carbon paper is treated with strong acid. The strong acid-treated carbon paper is used as the working electrode, silver/silver chloride electrode as the reference electrode, and platinum wire as the counter electrode, the three-electrode system is placed in the potassium carbonate aqueous solution for the first step of electrochemical peeling. The three-electrode system is placed in potassium nitrate phosphate buffer for the second electrochemical stripping. The carbon paper after electrochemical peeling in the second step is used as the working electrode. The three-electrode system is placed in the gold-containing solution for electrodeposition. A layer of gold nanoparticles is deposited on the surface, and the obtained material is washed with deionized water and dried to obtain a three-dimensional structure of self-supporting electrode substrate material. USE - Self-supporting electrode substrate material for double-chamber enzyme biofuel cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The self-supporting electrode substrate material has high specific surface area of functional stripping graphene and good conductivity. The dual-chamber enzyme biofuel cell has low cost, simple preparation, and is configured to reach a large power density.
