NOVELTY - A graphene-catalyzed hydrogen-storage alloy comprises a magnesium-titanium-vanadium-samarium-rare-earth element-nickel alloy including lanthanum, neodymium, yttrium or gadolinium (I). USE - Graphene-catalyzed hydrogen-storage alloy is used for fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-catalyzed hydrogen-storage alloy has high hydrogen storage capacity, and excellent thermal stability, and improved thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene-catalyzed hydrogen-storage alloy comprises a magnesium-titanium-vanadium-samarium-rare-earth element-nickel alloy of formula: Mg100-x-y-Tix-Vy-Sm12-z-REzNi10-m-Alm+n (I), where x is 3-10, preferably 6, y is 2-6, preferably 4, z is 1-3, preferably 2, m is 2-5, preferably 3, n is more than 0 to 0.2, preferably 0.1, and RE is lanthanum, neodymium, yttrium or gadolinium. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of graphene-catalyzed hydrogen-storage alloy.
