NOVELTY - A hollow graphene nanofiber has an outer diameter of 7-700 nm, an inner diameter of 6-698 nm, length-diameter ratio of (20:1)-(2000:1) and specific surface area of 300-2600 m2/g, and a porous fiber wall which allows gas or liquid medium. USE - Hollow graphene nanofiber is used as separation material, adsorbent, electrochemical energy storage electrode material and conductive agent. ADVANTAGE - The hollow graphene nanofiber has high quality and excellent mechanical strength, and can be prepared by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of hollow graphene nanofiber, which involves providing inorganic template into a reactor, heating to 400-1000 degrees C in presence of carrier gas, introducing carbon source, reacting at room temperature for 0.01-4 hours under protection of carrier gas, processing obtained product using 0.1-0.5 mol/L hydrochloric acid, nitric acid or hydrofluoric acid at 5-90 degrees C for 0.1-4 hours, or 0.1-1 mol/L sodium hydroxide solution at 20-100 degrees C for 0.1-4 hours, then filtering, washing using deionized water until pH value of wash liquid is neutral, and drying.
