▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Graphitic carbon nitride based photocatalyst comprises 45-50 wt.% potassium and phosphorus co-doped graphitic carbon nitride (KPCN), 5-7 wt.% graphene oxide, and 45-50 wt.% metal ferrite. USE - The graphitic carbon nitride is used for degradation of pollutants present in wastewater or polluted waters. ADVANTAGE - The graphitic carbon nitride has high absorption of visible light or low light, high lifetime of charge carriers, band positions for visible light activation, enhanced pollutant degradation, and enhanced efficiency, and is easy to separate from reaction mixture after completion of reaction. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for the preparation of graphitic carbon nitride based photocatalyst, involving (I) producing KPCN by a hydrothermal method, (II) dissolving 2 (weight/volume)% KPCN and 0.2 (weight/volume)% graphene oxide in distilled water and ultrasonically processing for 1.5-2.5 hours to obtain a homogeneous solution, (III) dissolving 8 (weight/volume)% iron(III) nitrate nonahydrate, and 3 (weight/volume)% magnesium nitrate hexahydrate in distilled water and stirring for 50-70 minutes to obtain another homogeneous solution, (IV) adding the solution of step (II) in the solution of step (III) and stirring at room temperature for 6-7 hours, (V) autoclaving the stirred solution in an autoclave at 175-185 ° C for 10-14 hours, (VI) collecting precipitate from the autoclaved solution and washing, and (VII) drying the washed precipitate at a temperature of 75-85° C to obtain graphitic carbon nitride (G-C3N4) based 5 photocatalyst (KPCN/GO/MFe2O4).
