NOVELTY - The method involves providing an aqueous suspension of oxidised graphene oxide flakes. The oxidised graphene oxide flakes are size reduced in the suspension to provide an aqueous suspension of particulate oxidised graphene oxide with an average particle size of less than 1 micro meter. The aqueous suspension is dried in a vessel to provide a multi-layered graphene oxide sheet. The functional groups are surface grated to the surface of the multi-layered graphene oxide sheet by reacting the material with a functional group precursor in the presence of plasma. The multi-layered functionalized graphene oxide paper comprises 100 layers. The surface grating step is configured to provide multi-layered functionalized graphene oxide paper with oxygen concentration of about 4-6 percentage. USE - Method for producing multi-layered functionalized graphene oxide paper. ADVANTAGE - The method improves first time efficacy bone regeneration. The method reduces global economic healthcare burden. The graphene material has strong potential mechanism for achieving spontaneous stem cell differentiation.
