NOVELTY - The method for preparing graphene oxide quantum dot, involves adding cocrystalline powder and sodium nitrate, adding sulfuric acid solution, adding graphite powder, sodium nitrate and sulfuric acid, stirring, adding potassium permanganate, dripping deionized water after heating, diluting with water, adding hydrogen peroxide, stirring, leaving still for overnight, obtaining supernatant, adding hydrochloric acid solution, mixing evenly, centrifuging until pH reaches 7 and centrifuging at low temperature to obtain final product. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide quantum dot used for catalysis application, biomarker and electronic imaging application. ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple preparation of uniform sized graphene oxide quantum dot with high yield. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing graphene oxide quantum dot, involves (1) adding cocrystalline powder and sodium nitrate in mass ratio of 5:1-1:5, adding 10-98 %mass sulfuric acid solution, (2) adding graphite powder, sodium nitrate and sulfuric acid, ultrasonically processing for 0.5-3 hours, transferring to ice water bath, stirring for 1-3 hours, (3) stirring by adding potassium permanganate, (4) dripping deionized water after heating, (5) diluting with water, adding hydrogen peroxide, stirring, leaving still for overnight, (6) obtaining supernatant, adding hydrochloric acid solution, mixing evenly, centrifuging until pH reaches 7, (7) centrifuging at low temperature to obtain final product. The mass ratio of sulfuric acid solution to graphite powder is 30-10 ml:1 g. The mass ratio of potassium permanganate to graphite powder is 5:1-1:3. The mass ratio of deionized water to cocrystalline powder is 20-60:1. The volume-to-mass ratio of hydrochloric acid solution and cocrystalline powder is 3-5 ml:1 g.
