▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A graphene oxide (GO) modified sphere like lanthanum iron oxide (GLFO) nanocomposite photocatalyst comprises 0.8-1.8 g sphere like lanthanum iron oxide (LFO) and 0.016-0.072 g graphene oxide (GO). USE - Graphene oxide modified sphere like lanthanum iron oxide (GLFO) nanocomposite photocatalyst for reduction of hexavalent chromium (claimed). ADVANTAGE - Nanocomposite photocatalyst has high photocatalytic activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) preparation of lanthanum iron oxide (LFO) which involves mixing salt of lanthanum(III) and salt of iron(III) in 1:1-2:2 ratio, pretreating mixture at 60-130 degrees C for 10-12 hours to obtain residue, activating residue at 500-800 degrees C for 2-3 hours, grinding to obtain lanthanum iron oxide, preparing graphene oxide by mixing graphite powder, sodium nitrate, potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide in stoichiometric-amount, stirring solution at room temperature, centrifuging residue, drying residue at 80-90 degrees C to obtain graphene oxide, and preparing composite by taking graphene oxide and lanthanum iron oxide; and (2) reduction of hexavalent chromium which involves taking GLFO nanocomposite photocatalyst and 100 ppm potassium dichromate solution in 20-22 mmol ratio in conical flask, and exposing reaction mixture to sunlight source for 2-3 hours.
