NOVELTY - Preparation of modified graphene-polymethyl(meth)acrylate composite material, involves dispersing graphene oxide in solvent, adding 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether to obtain graphene grafted 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether, adding methyl (meth)acrylate monomer to obtain mixed solution of graphene grafted 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether and methyl (meth)acrylate, dissolving dibenzoyl peroxide in toluene, slowly adding obtained solution to mixed solution to obtain graphene grafted polymethyl(meth)acrylate and dispersing in tetrahydrofuran to obtain final product. USE - Method for preparing modified graphene-polymethyl(meth)acrylate composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of modified graphene-polymethyl(meth)acrylate composite material with improved thermal properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing modified graphene-polymethyl(meth)acrylate composite material, involves (1) adding 1 g graphite powder, 0.5 g sodium nitrate and 23 ml concentrated sulfuric acid in ice bath, stirring slowly, adding 3 g potassium permanganate, heating at 35 degrees C for 7 hours, adding 50 ml distilled water, quickly heating at 95 degrees C, stirring for half an hour, stop heating, adding 100 ml distilled water and 10 ml hydrogen peroxide, centrifuging, washing, freeze-drying to obtain graphene oxide, (2) ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in solvent, adding 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether, centrifuging, washing and vacuum drying to obtain graphene grafted 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether, (3) adding graphene grafted 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether to methyl (meth)acrylate monomer, mechanically stirring to obtain mixed solution of graphene grafted 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether and methyl (meth)acrylate, dissolving dibenzoyl peroxide in toluene, slowly adding obtained solution to mixed solution, carrying out the reaction under nitrogen protection, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain graphene grafted polymethyl(meth)acrylate, (4) dispersing graphene grafted polymethyl(meth)acrylate in tetrahydrofuran, blending the resulting mixed solution with solution of polymethyl(meth)acrylate to obtain graphene grafted polymethyl(meth)acrylate-polymethyl(meth)acrylate.
