NOVELTY - Preparation of alkylated graphene-polypropylene composite material involves dissolving alkylated graphene and graphene oxide in water, adding surface modifier and solvent, ultrasonically dispersing, reacting, stirring, adding reducing agent, reacting at 60-150 degrees C for 1-10 hours, obtaining reaction mixture, filtering, washing to remove excess surface modifier, drying in an oven, grinding, adding 0.05-5 wt.% polypropylene, mixing uniformly for 5-40 minutes in a high-speed mixer, melting, stirring uniformly, extruding in a twin screw extruder, and granulating in a granulator. USE - Preparation of alkylated graphene-polypropylene composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method economically provides alkylated graphene-polypropylene composite material having excellent tensile strength, toughness and heat resistance, by a simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of alkylated graphene-polypropylene composite material involves dissolving alkylated graphene and graphene oxide in water, adding surface modifier and solvent, ultrasonically dispersing for 20 minutes to 2 hours under ultrasonic frequency of 20-100 Hz, reacting at 20-120 degrees C for 10 hours, stirring under magnetic force in rate of 20-1000 rpm, adding reducing agent, reacting at 60-150 degrees C for 1-10 hours, obtaining reaction mixture, filtering, washing to remove excess surface modifier, drying in an oven at 20-120 degrees C for 2-20 hours, grinding, adding 0.05-5 wt.% polypropylene, mixing uniformly for 5-40 minutes in a high-speed mixer under rate of 600-3000 rpm, melting, stirring uniformly in a rate of 20-120 rpm, extruding at 180-250 degrees C for 10-15 minutes in a twin screw extruder, and granulating in a granulator in speed of 2-20 rpm.
