NOVELTY - Preparing hydrophobic and heat preservation polymethacrylimide foam involves utilizing methacrylic anhydride, methacrylic acid, amino compounds, and amine-based fluorine-containing ionic liquids as monomers, adding initiator, foaming agent, crosslinking agent and nucleating agent to the reaction vessel, the raw material is mechanically stirred to obtain material mixed liquid, injecting the material mixed liquid into the mould, heating to 50-80℃ in the water bath, reacting for 80-100h, then raising the temperature to 80-130℃, heat treating for 30-50h to obtain the polymethacrylimide pre-polymerized plate, foaming the polymethacrylimide pre-polymerized plate at 130-280℃ to obtain hydrophobic and heat preservation polymethacrylimide foam. USE - Method for preparing hydrophobic and heat preservation polymethacrylimide foam. ADVANTAGE - The polymethacrylimide foam prepared has excellent mechanical property, strong hydrophobic property, low moisture absorption rate, and good heat preservation performance. The method does not use highly toxic acrylonitrile/methacrylonitrile raw materials, which reduces the danger in the preparation process.
