NOVELTY - An electrode protection layer comprises metal oxide, and has one-layer to multi-layer laminated structure. The metal oxide has ion conductivity. USE - Electrode protection layer is used in negative electrode for secondary battery for computer product, communication product, consumer electronic product, energy storage application and power battery application (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode protective layer has excellent chemical stability, physical protective effect, physical isolation of the direct negative electrode contact of the electrode sheet and the electrolyte, physical protection effect, and ion conductivity, and ensures the active ion of the secondary battery (lithium ion, sodium ion, potassium ion and aluminum ion) through lattice embedding-de-embedding, redox reaction and alloying reaction mechanism into and away from the protective layer. The safety performance and the circulation stability of secondary battery can be improved effectively. The performance of the battery, such as circulating lithium of the ion battery, and the requirement of the thickness precision is low, it can form a thick coating, and it can provide reliable passivation protection effect for negative electrode.
