NOVELTY - An electroconductive pigment paste comprises a pigment dispersion resin having an active hydrogen group, a conductive pigment, an organic solvent, an organic compound having reactivity with an active hydrogen group, and a film-forming resin having a weight average molecular weight of 100000 or more and a solubility parameter of less than 9.3. The conductive pigment comprises carbon nanotubes and/or conductive carbon having an average primary particle size of 10-80 nm. The organic compound is at least one chosen from isocyanate compound, alkoxysilane compound, compounds other than carboxylic acid which react with active hydrogen group to form acyl group, epoxy compound, and alpha , beta -unsaturated carbonyl-group-containing compound. USE - Electroconductive pigment paste is used for coating material for forming electroconductive coating film for conductive material (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to electromagnetic wave shield, display panel, touch screen panel, colored film, colored sheet, decorative material, protective material, magnet modifying material, printing ink, electronic device component, printed wiring board, solar cell, functional rubber component, etc. ADVANTAGE - The electroconductive pigment paste has excellent pigment dispersibility even in a high pigment concentration, low viscosity, and excellent storage stability, and produces coating material having excellent electroconductivity and finishing properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of the electroconductive pigment paste, which involves using the pigment dispersion resin, conductive pigment, organic solvent, organic compound, and film-forming resin; (2) manufacture of a coating material, which involves adding metal-containing particles comprising at least one metal element to the electroconductive pigment paste; and (3) a conductive material, which is obtained by applying the coating material on both surfaces of a plate-shaped base material.
