NOVELTY - A self-circulation system of sewage treatment driven by sunlight comprises sewage pool, reaction pool and circulating pump. The sewage pool and reaction pool are both provided with water outlet and water inlet. The water outlet of sewage pool is connected to water inlet of reaction pool through water pipe. The water outlet of reaction pool and water inlet of sewage pool are connected to circulating pump through water pipes. The reaction pool uses tin oxide-x/bismuth vanadate-tungsten oxide photoanode and PTFE modified graphene oxide electrode as artificial leaf, and mixed solution of manganese sulfate and sodium bicarbonate as electrolyte solution. USE - Self-circulation system of sewage treatment driven by sunlight. ADVANTAGE - The system replaces iron ion used in the traditional Fenton reaction with a trace amount of manganese ion, avoids the production of secondary pollutant iron sludge, and achieves self-circulation optical Fenton system treatment of sewage. The system also produces bicarbonate-containing electrolyte and hydrogen peroxide simultaneously by anodic water oxidation and cathodic oxygen reduction under sunlight. The bicarbonate acts as charge transfer medium to accept photogenerated holes from the photoanode and then oxidize water to generate hydrogen peroxide and achieves conversion efficiency of 2.5% solar energy to hydrogen peroxide chemical energy.
