NOVELTY - Preparation of manganese dioxide/graphene composite catalyst comprises dispersing potassium permanganate and graphene oxide, dissolving manganese in deionized water to prepare 0.1 mol/L manganese sulfate solution, adding manganese sulfate solution to graphene oxide dispersion, ultrasonically vibrating for 0.5 hour, and stirring-reacting at 80 degrees C for 2 hours; and adding ammonia water to adjust pH to 9-11, reacting at 95 degrees C for 1-3 hours, cooling to room temperature, filtering, washing with deionized water, and drying at 105 degrees C for 12 hours. USE - Method for preparing manganese dioxide/graphene composite catalyst used for catalytic degrading rhodamine B (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method effectively prevents impurity ions and has simple preparation method and low cost. The composite catalyst has large specific surface area which is 1.6 times that of manganese dioxide, small charge transfer resistance at 0.18 times, and high catalytic hydrogen peroxide degradation rate of rhodamine B at 95% and degrades organic pollutants. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of manganese dioxide/graphene composite catalyst comprises dispersing potassium permanganate and graphene oxide, dissolving manganese in deionized water to prepare 0.1 mol/L manganese sulfate solution, where mass ratio of graphene oxide and manganese is 5-15:100, adding manganese sulfate solution to graphene oxide dispersion, ultrasonically vibrating for 0.5 hour, where ratio of manganese sulfate and potassium permanganate is 1:1.5 and concentration of potassium permanganate is 0.1 mol/L, and stirring-reacting at 80 degrees C for 2 hours; and adding ammonia water to adjust pH to 9-11, reacting at 95 degrees C for 1-3 hours, cooling to room temperature, filtering, washing with deionized water, and drying at 105 degrees C for 12 hours.
