▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The metasurface (300) has scatterer rings (302) each including bow-tie radiator elements (304) having same geometric configuration. Electrodes provide biasing voltage to corresponding rings, where geometric configuration associated with the radiator elements corresponds to angle between two elements of each radiator element. The radiator elements are triangular or trapezoidal elements, and are sub-wavelength radiator elements, where the metasurface is constructed using graphene material. The rings modulate propagation characteristics of incident plane wave. USE - Electrically tunable metasurface i.e. photonic meta-material, for modulating propagation characteristics of incident plane wave. ADVANTAGE - The metasurface can benefit from broadband nature of bow-tie radiator elements, and can increase operational bandwidth in an effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: an apparatus for characterizing material a method for modulating propagation characteristics of incident plane wave.
