NOVELTY - An graphene oxide-polyaniline modified electrode comprises a glassy carbon electrode, and graphene oxide-polyaniline-Nafion (RTM: Sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene based fluoropolymer-copolymer) layer coated on a glassy carbon electrode, where the graphene oxide-polyaniline-Nafion (RTM: Sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene based fluoropolymer-copolymer) layer comprise oxidized graphene, a polyaniline salt, and Nafion (RTM: Sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene based fluoropolymer-copolymer) layer. USE - Graphene oxide-polyaniline modified electrode for use in electrochemical sensor (claimed) for determination of heavy metals. ADVANTAGE - The electrode has high electrochemical activity and detects trace heavy metals in simple, easy and cost effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for preparing a graphene oxide-polyaniline modified electrode (2) an electrochemical sensor modified with graphene oxide and polyaniline.
