NOVELTY - Manufacture of gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite material involves mixing graphite and nitrate, adding acid, stirring, adding permanganate, stirring under water bath for oxidation reaction, adding deionized water to obtain egg yellow colloid, filtering, washing, drying to obtain graphene oxide, ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water, adding chloroauric acid solution, stirring, mixing, adding sodium citrate solution, heat-stirring, adding hydrazine hydrate solution, heat-stirring, filtering, washing, and drying. USE - Manufacture of gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite used for manufacturing electrode used in electrochemical detection, capillary electrophoresis, flow injection and liquid phase, combination of chromatography and amperometric detection, detection of aromatic biogenic amine and their amino acid precursor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite with high sensitivity and excellent stability. The gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite electrode enables detection of analyte with low analysis cost compared to surface-modified electrode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite electrode, which involves inserting an polished enameled wire into a hollow insulating tube, leaving a certain amount of free space at the other end, fixing the insertion end with an adhesive seal, mixing the gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite material with liquid paraffin or silicone oil, and filling the mixture into the free space of the hollow insulating tube; (2) gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite electrode; and (3) method for detecting an analyte in a chromatographic analysis, which involves using the gold nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composite electrode, a saturated calomel electrode or a silver chloride electrode as a reference electrode, and a platinum wire is a counter electrode in a non-chip electrophoresis-electrochemical detection analysis system, and detecting the analyte.
