NOVELTY - Bisphenol S molecular imprinted mesoporous silica complex comprises silica matrix, substrate binding moieties, alkyl amine and quantum dot. The alkylamine contains amine-based compound (I). USE - The complex is useful in sensor, preferably fluorescence spectrometer or fluorescence reader for detecting bisphenol S (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The complex can effectively detect bisphenol S with high sensitivity and selectivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Bisphenol S molecular imprinted mesoporous silica complex comprises silica matrix, substrate binding moieties, alkyl amine and quantum dot. The alkylamine contains amine-based compound of formula (asterisk-CjH2j-NH2) (I).j = 1-5, where asterisk is connection site with the silica matrix. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) precursor of bisphenol S derivative of formula (II); (2) producing bisphenol S molecular imprinted mesoporous silica complex comprising (a) reacting the precursor of the bisphenol S derivative (IIa) with the silica precursor of formula (SiA'3Bm) (III), (c) performing sol-gel reaction by adding tetraalkoxysilane, (d) forming a void (cavity) by acid treatment, and (e) encapsulating the quantum dots; and (3) sensor comprising the bisphenol S molecular imprinted mesoporous silica complex.
