NOVELTY - Preparing a graphene-modified waterborne epoxy coating curing agent involves preparing graphene oxide by mixing modified graphene oxide in water to obtain an 0.2-1 wt.% aqueous graphene oxide. The 0.2 wt.% aqueous graphene oxide is added with an amino-terminated surface modifier and heated in microwave at 50-80 degrees C. The graphene oxide is reacted with the amine-terminated surface modifier for 10-60 minutes. The resulting reactant is washed with deionized water for 3-5 times to obtain a graphene derivative, which is then formulated into a mass percentage concentration. USE - Method for preparing a graphene-modified waterborne epoxy coating curing agent used for cleaning the metal substrate with degreasing agent, ethanol, acetone and deionized water (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing a graphene-modified waterborne epoxy coating curing agent involves preparing graphene oxide by mixing modified graphene oxide in water to obtain an 0.2-1 wt.% aqueous graphene oxide. The 0.2 wt.% aqueous graphene oxide is added with an amino-terminated surface modifier and heated in microwave at 50-80 degrees C. The graphene oxide is reacted with the amine-terminated surface modifier for 10-60 minutes. The resulting reactant is washed with deionized water for 3-5 times to obtain a graphene derivative, which is then formulated into a mass percentage concentration. The amino-terminated surface modifier is polyethyleneimine, polyetheramine, triethylenetetramine, ethylenediamine, amino acid or polyethylene glycol diamine. The amount of amine-terminated surface modifying agent is calculated according to the mass ratio, and the amino-terminated surface modifier: graphene oxide is 1-20:1. The 0.4 wt.% aqueous dispersion of the graphene derivative is added to waterborne epoxy coating curing agent for obtaining a graphene-modified waterborne epoxy coating. The waterborne epoxy coating curing agent is a curing agent component in a two-component waterborne epoxy coating. The amount of a graphene derivative aqueous dispersion, an aqueous epoxy coating curing agent are in ratio of 0.5-5:100.
