NOVELTY - The method for preparing a cathode active material of battery involves mixing ferric iron compound and stannous chloride or its hydrate, dissolving the mixture in anhydrous alcohol or ketone organic solvent, adding graphene oxide, dispersing, carrying out electrodeposition using platinum as anode, copper foil as cathode and regulated direct current power supply as a power source under constant pressure, drying under normal pressure, and subjecting the dried sheet to carbonization treatment in an inert gas atmosphere to obtain cathode active material without using adhesive. USE - Method is useful for preparing a cathode active material of battery, preferably lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The cathode active material can be prepared with excellent lithium performance and high purity at reduced cost in a simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The method for preparing a cathode active material of battery involves mixing ferric iron compound and stannous chloride or its hydrate in a molar ratio of 1:2, dissolving the mixture in anhydrous alcohol or ketone organic solvent, adding graphene oxide, ultrasonically dispersing, carrying out electrodeposition using platinum as anode, copper foil as cathode and regulated direct current power supply as a power source under constant pressure, drying under normal pressure, and subjecting the dried sheet to carbonization treatment in an inert gas atmosphere to obtain tin-iron oxide composite graphene oxide cathode active material without using adhesive.
