NOVELTY - Preparing a sulfur electrode composite material, comprises (1) preparing a first mixture of potassium hydroxide and/or sodium hydroxide and black phosphorus nano-sheets, (2) heating the first mixture with air isolated, preserving heat, and then cooling to obtain a second mixture, (3) washing the second mixture with deionized water until the pH value of the solution is neutral and drying to obtain etched black phosphorus nano-sheets, (4) mixing the etched black phosphorus nano-sheets and a first carbon material in an N-methyl pyrrolidone solvent, stirring, vacuum-filtering and drying to obtain a third mixture, where the first carbon material comprises carbon fibers, carbon nanotubes, graphite, graphene and/or conductive carbon black, (5) mixing the third mixture with sulfur, and placing the mixture into ball mill for ball milling to prepare a fourth mixture, and (6) heating the fourth mixture by isolating air, preserving the heat and cooling to obtain the final product. USE - The composite material is useful in sulfur electrode of lithium-sulfur battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material: has excellent catalytic activity and stability.
