USE - A double-network nanocomposite polymer hydrogel for biomedicine, agriculture, chemical industry, and mining. ADVANTAGE - Hydrogel has high compressive and tensile strength and excellent flexibility, and preparation method is simple. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A double-network nanocomposite polymer hydrogel comprises double-network hydrogel and nanoparticles with weight ratio of 100:1-50 in which double-network hydrogel contains 1st network hydrogel containing monomer i.e. 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propanesulfonic acid, methacrylic acid, styrene sulfonic acid, vinyl sulfonic acid, methacrylic acid salt, styrene sulfonate, and/or vinyl sulfonate, and 2nd network hydrogel containing monomer i.e. acrylic acid and derivatives, methacrylic acid and derivatives, acrylamide and derivatives, N-vinyl formamide, vinyl pyridine, and/or N-vinyl pyrrolidone, and inorganic nanoparticles is graphene oxide, halloysite, carbon nanotube, pyrochlore, montmorillonite, talcum powder, beidellite, water pyroxene, silica, metahalloysite, cage-typed silsesquioxane, microcrystalline cellulose, graphene, oxidized carbon nanotube, hydroxyapatite, metal and oxides, and/or fullerene. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of double-network nanocomposite polymer hydrogel which involves dissolving 1st network hydrogel monomer, crosslinking agent, and initiator in nanoparticle-containing aqueous dispersion, pouring mixed solution in silicone rubber mold, reacting at 50-80 degrees C for 6-20 hours to obtain 1st network hydrogel, dissolving 2nd network hydrogel, cross-linking agent, and initiator in water, adding obtained 1st network hydrogel, swelling for 24-30 hours, and reacting at 50-80 degrees C for 6-20 hours.
