NOVELTY - Preparation of high solubility graphene involves taking concentrated sulfuric acid, placing in ice cooling bath, adding sodium nitrate and graphite, stirring, adding potassium permanganate slowly, transferring to water bath, insulating at 35 degrees C for 2 hours, adding deionized water slowly, stirring for 15 minutes, diluting with deionized water, adding redox system comprising 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate and manganese dioxide, filtering while hot, washing with hydrochloric acid solution, drying to obtain graphite oxide, adding deionized water to form solution and cooling. USE - Method for preparing high solubility graphene. ADVANTAGE - The high solubility graphene with 20-500 nm particle size has greatly expanded scope of use. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of high solubility graphene comprises taking concentrated sulfuric acid, placing in ice cooling bath, adding sodium nitrate and graphite, stirring, adding potassium permanganate slowly, transferring to water bath, insulating at 35 degrees C for 2 hours, adding deionized water slowly, stirring at 98 degrees C for 15 minutes, diluting with deionized water, adding redox system comprising 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate and manganese dioxide, filtering while hot, washing with hydrochloric acid solution and water respectively, drying to obtain graphite oxide, adding deionized water to form solution, cooling, hydrothermal reacting with chemical reducing agent, filtering, drying to obtain reduced graphene oxide, ultrasonically irradiating, microwave processing at 80-180 degrees C for 5-30 minutes and standing.
