ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently provides oxidized graphene-silver nanocomposite particles having excellent antibacterial property, water solubility and stability, by a simple process in a short period of time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of oxidized graphene-silver nanocomposite particles involves mixing 1 g expanded graphite and sodium chloride, grinding, performing water filtration, washing the resultant material with sodium chloride, drying, obtaining dried-finely ground graphite, adding 30 mL 98.3% concentrated sulfuric acid, into the obtained dried-finely ground graphite, stirring for 8 hours under room temperature, obtaining mixture, placing the obtained mixture in an ice bath, adding 3 g potassium permanganate, heating at 115 degrees C, slowly adding 150 mL water and 10 mL 30 % hydrogen peroxide, stirring uniformly, removing the supernatant solution by centrifugation, repeatedly washing the resultant material with water, obtaining graphene oxide suspension, clarifying 5 mL obtained graphene oxide suspension for 30 minutes, obtaining graphene oxide hydrosol, adding 0.12 g/mL solid sodium hydroxide, stirring under water bath at 50 degrees C for 4 hours, adjusting pH of the resultant solution to 1 by addition of concentrated hydrochloric acid, repeatedly washing with distilled water, centrifuging, obtaining water-soluble non-alkalized aqueous graphene oxide, adding silver nitrate, heating, adding sodium citrate as a reducing agent and stabilizer, heating at 100 degrees C for 1 hours, and performing ultrafiltration elution for three times to remove unbound silver particles and intermediate products. The mass ratio of silver nitrate and water-soluble non-alkalized aqueous graphene oxide is 7.2-21.6.
