NOVELTY - Silver-doped sea urchin-shaped copper oxide/multilayer graphene composite material comprises sea urchin-shaped copper oxide particles with a diameter of 100-200 nm that are uniformly distributed on the surface of the multilayer graphene. The sea urchin-shaped copper oxide particles have nano silver inside and the surface is composed of nano copper oxide beams. The copper oxide beams are distributed radially from the center of the sphere, and there are pores between the copper oxide beams, so that the liquid easily enters the nanopores. USE - Silver-doped sea urchin-shaped copper oxide/multilayer graphene composite material for glucose sensor (claimed), and for enzyme-free glucose detection electrode. ADVANTAGE - The silver-doped sea urchin-shaped copper oxide/multilayer graphene composite material contains nano silver deposited in the sea urchin copper oxide, which improves the electron transmission speed inside the sea urchin copper oxide. The composite material has excellent detection performance. The preparation process of the composite material is simple and suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing silver-doped sea urchin-shaped copper oxide/multilayer graphene composite material, which involves measuring dimethylformamide (DMF) and deionized water with a volume ratio of 8:2 are measured, mixing uniformly and using as a mixed solvent; weighing the expanded graphite, adding it to the mixed solvent, and sonicating for 4.5 hours to obtain a multi-layer graphene dispersion, where the concentration of the expanded graphite relative to the mixed solvent is 2 mg/mL; weighing copper acetate monohydrate and silver nitrate, adding an appropriate amount of dilute hydrochloric acid to the multi-layer graphene dispersion, placing the obtained solution in a 90 degrees C water bath and stirring magnetically for 2 hours, where the concentration of copper acetate monohydrate relative to the mixed solvent is 15-25 mg/mL, concentration of silver nitrate relative to the mixed solvent is 0.3 to 1 mg/mL, and the volume ratio of 5% dilute hydrochloric acid to the mixed solvent is 0.005:1 to 0.02:1, the copper ion forms a complex with DMF and water and is adsorbed onto the surface of the multilayer graphene, the complex decomposes to form copper oxide crystal seeds, and then grows around the crystal seeds as the core, and silver ions can form nano silver and copper oxide co-precipitation under the reducing effect of DMF, and under the combined action of hydrochloric acid etching and growth guidance, silver-doped copper oxide grows into a sea urchin shape on the surface of multilayer graphene; subjecting the obtained solution to centrifugal cleaning after cooling, and drying in an oven at 70 degrees C for 24 hours to obtain the desired composite materail, where the diameter of sea urchin-shaped copper oxide particles is 100-200 nm.
