NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide dispersion involves mixing a polar aprotic solvent and graphite, sequentially separating and recovering graphite with polar solvents (A) and (B), chemically oxidizing and peeling the pretreated graphite to produce oxidized graphene, and adding 0.001-20 wt.% oxidized graphene to dispersion medium. The polar aprotic solvent is chosen from acetonitrile, ethyl acetate, methyl acetate, butyl acetate, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, isobutyl acetate, propyl acetate, dimethoxymethane, methyl ethyl ketone and acetone. The solvent (B) is water. USE - Preparation of graphene oxide dispersion for liquid crystal, sensor, catalyst, cell active material and filter. ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide dispersion of high purity is produced efficiently.
