NOVELTY - A positive electrode material comprises a matrix material, spinel oxide, olivine-type oxide, where the spinel oxide is located between the matrix material and the olivine-type oxide, and reduced graphene oxide. The olivine-type oxide is located between the spinel oxide and the reduced graphene oxide. USE - The positive electrode material is useful in lithium-ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode material has excellent voltage stability, cycle stability and rate performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the positive electrode material, which involves forming the matrix material, coating the olivine-type oxide on the matrix material, coating graphene oxide on the olivine-type oxide, annealing the matrix material after coating the olivine-type oxide and the graphene oxide, forming the spinel oxide between the matrix material and the olivine-type oxide, and reducing the graphene oxide to reduced graphene oxide.
