NOVELTY - Fabrication of a semi-crystalline polymer/graphene oxide composite film (300) involves stirring a graphene oxide solution dispersed in a solvent, and mixture solution of polymer to obtain polymer/graphene oxide casting solution, coating obtained solution on a substrate to form a film (f1) on the substrate in which graphene oxide (301) in film (f1) has a layered structure, drying film (f1) to form film (f1) having a semi-crystalline-typed polymer (p1) containing a porous structure, and polymer (p1) and graphene oxide are distributed uniformly in film (f1), and heat-treating film (f1). USE - Fabrication of semi-crystalline polymer/graphene oxide composite film used as substrate of flexible flat panel display for use in mobile and portable information electronic products. Can also be used for food packaging applications. ADVANTAGE - The method enables fabrication of semi-crystalline polymer/graphene oxide composite film having excellent purity, gas barrier performance and high transparency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Fabrication of a semi-crystalline polymer/graphene oxide composite film involves providing a polymer/graphene oxide casting solution, performing a film forming procedure by coating the polymer/graphene oxide casting solution on a substrate to form a film (f1) on the substrate in which the graphene oxide in the film (f1) has a layered structure and distributed in the polymer, performing a crystallization procedure by drying the film (f1) with heat to form film (f1) having a semi-crystalline-typed polymer (p1) containing a porous structure, and polymer (p1) and graphene oxide are distributed uniformly in the film (f1) with respect to each other so as to have polymer (p1) exist between graphene oxide, and graphene oxide between the polymers, and performing a recrystallization procedure by having the composite film containing the polymer (p1) which undergoes heat treatment to induce polyvinyl alcohol (302) in casting solution between adjacent layers of graphene oxide to form a polymer (p2) so as to obtain a composite film containing polymers (p1,p2). The casting solution is obtained by dissolving a polymer in a solvent (s1) to obtain a mixture solution, adding a graphene oxide solution dispersed in a solvent (s2), into the mixture solution, and stirring until obtained uniform solution. The polymer (p2) fills and seals the porous structure of the polymer (p1) to block gas from flowing through and to increase a length that gas passes from one side of the composite film to the other side of the composite film.
