NOVELTY - An iron-cerium/graphene oxide magnetic visible light catalyst (I) is prepared by preparing iron-cerium compound (i), adding graphene oxide to ultrapure water according to mass ratio of 1:70-1:90, stirring and mixing, ultrasonicating to obtain graphene dispersion solution, adding iron-cerium compound according to mass ratio of 1.5:1-2.5:1, stirring at 60 degrees C for 30 minutes, ultrasonicating for 2 hours to obtain suspension, centrifuging, taking precipitate, washing with anhydrous ethanol, rinsing with ultrapure water, and drying. USE - A method for preparing iron-cerium/graphene oxide magnetic visible light catalyst used for degrading oxytetracycline (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The product is reusable, has enhanced charge separation, enlarged active surface and has improved catalytic efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An iron-cerium/graphene oxide magnetic visible light catalyst of formula (Fe3-xCexO4/GO) (I) is prepared by preparing iron-cerium compound of formula (Fe3-xCexO4) (i), adding graphene oxide to ultrapure water according to mass ratio of 1:70-1:90, stirring and mixing, ultrasonicating to obtain graphene dispersion solution, adding iron-cerium compound according to mass ratio of 1.5:1-2.5:1, stirring at 60 degrees C for 30 minutes, ultrasonicating for 2 hours to obtain suspension, centrifuging, taking precipitate, washing with anhydrous ethanol, rinsing with ultrapure water, and drying. x=0.2-2.8.
