▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A rechargeable lithium battery comprises an anode, a cathode, a lithium-ion permeable and electrically insulating separator that electrically separates the anode from the cathode, and a solid-state lithium ion-transporting medium (m1) comprising a material comprising graphite, graphene, carbon, a sulfonated conducting polymer, a phthalocyanine compound and/or an organic or organometallic cathode or anode active material. The medium (m1) and particles of a cathode active material are combined to form a cathode active material composite layer comprising 75 wt.% or vol.% cathode active material. The organic or organometallic cathode active material is different in composition than that of the cathode active material. The medium (m1) constitutes a three-dimensional network of both lithium ion-conducting paths and electron-conducting paths in the cathode. USE - Rechargeable lithium battery e.g. lithium metal secondary battery, lithium-ion battery, lithium-sulfur battery, lithium-ion sulfur battery, lithium-selenium battery or lithium- air battery (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to electric vehicle (battery-powered electric vehicle), hybrid electric vehicle and portable electronic device including laptop computer and mobile phone. ADVANTAGE - The rechargeable lithium battery is safe and economical, and has high energy density, capacity and charging/discharging characteristics, and desired cycle life. The solid electrolyte has desired electrochemical property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the rechargeable lithium battery. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic view explaining encapsulation of primary particles of cathode or anode active material with lithium ion-transporting medium.
